New forms of media were formed during this time, such as the conception of radio, mainstream cinema, and photography. The American way of life was greatly conceived by popular culture and media. During the 1930’s, radio programs became readily available to American citizens for the first time. This provided a medium for communication and the spread of news. Americans discovered a sense of unity through this technology. Herbert Hoover developed a vision to rebuild the nations struggling economy. Hoover developed the New Deal, which gave jobs to American people. Hoover took government money and gave it directly to the American people by providing jobs through public works programs. Visual media during this time depicted hardworking Americans with a vision. The vision was to succeed and strengthen America. A photograph that particularly captures the American spirit of the time was by photographer Wilfred Mead. The photograph from the CCC with the young man looking outward depicts the hope and spirit of the American worker. This picture shows the strength and bravery of the worker as well as the power of man. By creating jobs for Americans, Hoover instilled hope in the American people. He allowed for positive thinking towards the future of this country.
I think you mixed Hoover up with FDR. The paragraph is goos, but I did not see a thesis, you may want to make sure that is clear to Emily when she grades it. Your idea are great, just make sure you evidence to back uo what you are saying in the body of the paper.
